This Was My Summer...

Summer...why did you have to go so soon? I start school (my sophomore year in high school) in less than 2 weeks and I am absolutely dreading it! Summer, no matter what you do is ultimately amazing because you HAVE NO SCHOOL WORK TO DO.
Now, while everyone else was off going to all these cool places and doing incredible things, I pretty much have done nothing--I stayed home most of the time and had "me-time." I much preferred to spend time alone as that doesn't happen during school. I did however go to few places which were featured in my Monophobia and Warm posts :).
Heres the recap of my summer:
When I actually did go out, this would be my get-up. A simple t-shirt dress, with a denim jacket to keep me warm if
I'm going out at night. T-shirt dress from F21.

Denim Jacket is from: Gap
Steve Madden Chelsea Boots
Blogging was the main thing on my mind this summer and I am so happy with how its turning out.
Lets be honest, my room was never this clean as I have spent my summer buried in this corner.
Close up: A Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, my agenda to help track my boring life, IT by Alexa Chung,
and my journal containing my deepest darkest secrets.
And my obsession with candles and fake flowers continues...
Reading A Diary of A Young Girl by Anne Frank took me the whole summer...oops!

I would like to apologize for the lack of posts this month as I have been stressing over schoolwork and trying to get everything done. I hope all of you had an amazing summer and good luck in school!

Motivational Monday: 7 Tips to Help You Get By This Week

As you all may know, Mondays aren't the best day of the week and people seem miserable when they wake up. No matter what even happens on that Monday, its somehow deemed and a "depressing-day." I mean its especially depressing if the weekend was full of fun and you're at work just wishing to relive that weekend over and over.
Clearly, it doesn't have to be that way...Mondays can be be relaxing and less stressful with just a few, simple, tips.
1. Meditating: Meditating or doing yoga when you wake up, calms your body and mind and relieves all the stress from your body and overall, leaves yo relaxed.
2. Being organized: Planning the week ahead over the weekend, has you set for what ever there is to come. Planning and being organized about everything from work to school to personal life, makes life so much easier.
3. Have energy! Having energy whether it be from coffee or tea or naturally from sleep is the best thing ever because you will stay focused throughout the day.
4. Sleep! This is pretty self- explanatory, but, make sure to sleep early and have about 6-8 hours of sleep everyday.
5. Tea or coffee: It seems as though, coffee or tea can put someone in a good mood, so if it works for you, go for it.
6. Get your feelings out: If you are feeling a bit down or anxious, its always best to put your feelings down on paper or to even talk to someone.
7. Be Healthy: Working out get is a great source of having your body get healthy...that and also eating things that are right for your body.

Style Inspiration: Mary-Kate Olsen

One of my biggest style icons has got to be Mary-Kate Olsen for her "rocker" and grunge style. For me, my style is more plain and simple, however, I have some sort of edginess towards my style. I love to embody Mary Kates' style for her whole edginess. Not only, that, her makeup is super simple and her hair is "to die for."

Simple, dressed-up Mary-Kate again with
grungy, bed-head hair and hipster sunglasses.

All black with hipster sunglasses.
Grungy bed-head hair and a simple outfit.
Faux Fur and Platform shoes.
Half-up and half-down hairdo with a plain,
simple, outfit, mixed with a pop of cheetah-
print shoes.
