10.17.15: Maman

Saturday, October 17, my friend and I went on little adventure as per usual and I decided to document it. I usually end up taking a bunch of photos and never get to share them, so, I wanted to share it with you all!
The day started of with a youth mentoring program at my school. My mentor however was not
not present due to the fact that she still has to do training. I ended up hanging out and doing a
scavenger hunt with Luci (girl in the blog post later on) and her mentor. This photo is of my friend
Rachelle and the assistants principals dog that she brought named, "Boozer".
After the program, Luci and I went to a cafe in Soho (Centre St), called Maman.
Here's a candid of Luci who stole my beanie for the day...
Maman was super cute and fit my "aesthetic"
Sadly, no seats were available because a group of girls were hogging up their seats and
an event was taking place at the back to which no other customers were permitted to go in
(unless otherwise).
Luci and I couldn't decide on what we wanted to eat.
Luci's Order: Hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie (she loved both!)
My order: Latte and apple fruit tart (latte was disappointing and the fruit tart was way too sweet.)
I honestly do not where I got my beanie but let me just tell you, it was hella cold and this beanie
was hella useful.
Quite obsessed with combat boots now because they're warm and super comfortable.
After like 397947299123 "candids," I finally got a really great one, thanks Luci!
The following pictures were taken whilst Luci and I were walking. They were taken as we were trying to find the café and/or afterwards.
wen ur 1d af..
she loved the beanie so much, she walked out whilst taking selfies.
A group of guys were "spitting bars"--"...with the Vans on her feet"
One reason why I love hanging out with Luci is because she never takes life too
seriously.
Frida
2 thing I want to do:
1) Go to Amsterdam.
2) Actually learn how to ride a bike.
My kind of store (Alternative) ft. girls with cute shoes.
and i can't help falling in love with (New York)
yes, I took a bunch of random photos, but, we were walking in Soho and everything needed to be
documented.
I only took this because it reminded of that Halsey song "Colors".
Not gonna lie, Luci's hair is basically my goals.
Whilst walking, we found this thrift shop which was filled with super retro clothing. I was
very tempted to buy a sweater/movie/book, however, I was broke as is.
We finally made it to 14 Street which took longer than expected because of our "poor attention span" and because we kept on stopping to take photos.
We walked onto the middle of a street fair and Luci wanted me to try a fried Oreo so bad but we had to
not compel ourselves to do so because we planned to get food later on.
"Lets go in here, I need to buy underwear."
"These look like granny panties but they hella cute."
Don't be mistaken, this isn't Brandy Melville, nor is it Urban Outfitters, it's Forever 21!
We ended up going to UO to charge our phones to then find out the machine was broken...
Us obsessing over the Calvin Klein section wishing we were able to buy them :(
my room goals (especially want that fur throw).
Ended up sitting down and looking through the Humans Of New York book. They are sooo inspirational and have amazing stories in which people have shared.

Afterwards, Luci and I ended up getting some Taco Bell because we are obviously super healthy! We ended up being very tired and pretty much getting super delusional so we decided to part ways.

I just want to mention that I will be doing a lot of blogpsots like these mixed with my other posts. I feel like I take so many different pictures and never end up posting them so I have decided that i'll share my little excursions on here. I also havent been putting much effort into my blogposts and decided to come back with a bang. If you however want to see any other photos I take without all the writing, my Instagram and VSCO Cam are available for your viewings.
Have a nice day!!xx

This Was My Summer...

Summer...why did you have to go so soon? I start school (my sophomore year in high school) in less than 2 weeks and I am absolutely dreading it! Summer, no matter what you do is ultimately amazing because you HAVE NO SCHOOL WORK TO DO.
Now, while everyone else was off going to all these cool places and doing incredible things, I pretty much have done nothing--I stayed home most of the time and had "me-time." I much preferred to spend time alone as that doesn't happen during school. I did however go to few places which were featured in my Monophobia and Warm posts :).
Heres the recap of my summer:
When I actually did go out, this would be my get-up. A simple t-shirt dress, with a denim jacket to keep me warm if
I'm going out at night. T-shirt dress from F21.
Bag is from: DailyLook
Denim Jacket is from: Gap
Steve Madden Chelsea Boots
Blogging was the main thing on my mind this summer and I am so happy with how its turning out.
Lets be honest, my room was never this clean as I have spent my summer buried in this corner.
Close up: A Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, my agenda to help track my boring life, IT by Alexa Chung,
and my journal containing my deepest darkest secrets.
And my obsession with candles and fake flowers continues...
Reading A Diary of A Young Girl by Anne Frank took me the whole summer...oops!

I would like to apologize for the lack of posts this month as I have been stressing over schoolwork and trying to get everything done. I hope all of you had an amazing summer and good luck in school!

Motivational Monday: 7 Tips to Help You Get By This Week

As you all may know, Mondays aren't the best day of the week and people seem miserable when they wake up. No matter what even happens on that Monday, its somehow deemed and a "depressing-day." I mean its especially depressing if the weekend was full of fun and you're at work just wishing to relive that weekend over and over.
Clearly, it doesn't have to be that way...Mondays can be be relaxing and less stressful with just a few, simple, tips.
1. Meditating: Meditating or doing yoga when you wake up, calms your body and mind and relieves all the stress from your body and overall, leaves yo relaxed.
2. Being organized: Planning the week ahead over the weekend, has you set for what ever there is to come. Planning and being organized about everything from work to school to personal life, makes life so much easier.
3. Have energy! Having energy whether it be from coffee or tea or naturally from sleep is the best thing ever because you will stay focused throughout the day.
4. Sleep! This is pretty self- explanatory, but, make sure to sleep early and have about 6-8 hours of sleep everyday.
5. Tea or coffee: It seems as though, coffee or tea can put someone in a good mood, so if it works for you, go for it.
6. Get your feelings out: If you are feeling a bit down or anxious, its always best to put your feelings down on paper or to even talk to someone.
7. Be Healthy: Working out get is a great source of having your body get healthy...that and also eating things that are right for your body.

Style Inspiration: Mary-Kate Olsen

One of my biggest style icons has got to be Mary-Kate Olsen for her "rocker" and grunge style. For me, my style is more plain and simple, however, I have some sort of edginess towards my style. I love to embody Mary Kates' style for her whole edginess. Not only, that, her makeup is super simple and her hair is "to die for."

Simple, dressed-up Mary-Kate again with
grungy, bed-head hair and hipster sunglasses.

All black with hipster sunglasses.
Grungy bed-head hair and a simple outfit.
Faux Fur and Platform shoes.
Half-up and half-down hairdo with a plain,
simple, outfit, mixed with a pop of cheetah-
print shoes.
